Shocked YAY! I was already looking forward to Warehouse 13's 2nd season. Now, more so. Should be interesting to see if she'll be a villain (probably) or a hero.

I've actually never even heard of this show...

I'm a start-from-the-beginning-ist, so looks like I better get a head start and find season one...

It has, so far, had just the one season of 12 episodes. The series has a sense of humor and quirkiness, even extending to the dateline titles, but as they get further along the plotlines develop some depth. The characters are very likeable, and two of the actors are character actors you've seen before, while three are new (afaik). The series is something like a cross between the Raiders of the Lost Ark warehouse meets a lighthearted X-Files, with a dash of supernatural and maybe a little James Bond thrown in. Give it a chance, if the first couple of episodes leave you puzzled. Oh, one of the literary conceits (part of the schtick) of the series is some retro high tech that will remind you of 50's Golden Age serials.

Check it out and have some fun. Chances are, you'll be hooked by the mix of elements.

Jewel Staite -- oh, she could do a terrific bad-guy or hero!

I would never condone illegal activities, but I happen to know the series exists out there in downloadable forms.  Not that you should do that.  So don't.  I'm just sayin'. Wink

I like Warehouse 13.  Very cool that Jewel Staite is going to be on it!  I wonder why Browncoats would freak. Smiley

it is a very fun show. cool story lines and a nice mix of characters. I recommend this and im sure it will be out on dvd soon. Jewel will be a good fit i think, and the idea of her as a villain could be cool.

The ratings, as I read on Wikipedia, sound amazing. I can't wait. I bet a SyFy friend with TV might have it recorded... Sounds really interesting from that summary, BlueCatShip!

Jewel that's kewl. Any possibility of it being a recurring role? If you're based in the US hulu.com has the last 5 episodes available.[/color]

Warehouse 13 is a really fun show and a prop geek's dream (so, you can probably guess why I love it). There've been several published reports on what exactly Jewel will be doing on the show. All I can say is you shouldn't necessarily believe everything you read, but if what I've been told is even half-true, it's going to be extra, extra shiny!

The word on the 'net is that Sean Maher is joining her.  How freakin' awesome is that?!

That's probably what the big surprise was - and it's wonderful to hear! It'll be interesting to see what dynamic is cast on the duo.  I really hope it's for more than one episode...

The second season starts on July 13th and their episode is supposed to be early in the run so I suspect we'll see it late in July or early in August.
