Finally after months of Japanese screen shots and going on their website every hour of the day to check for updates, the release date in England is only 18 hours away (give or take).

I have been waiting for this game for well over a year and for me this is going ot be huge.  Final Fantasy is like...my most loved game serise ever and at long last we have another one!  And on Xbox too...and they said it would never be done!

I'm holding off on playing this game. Haven't been a fan of the "modern" Final Fantasy games. However, it does look pretty Smiley

Glad you are enjoying it!

Oh my god it is amazing...I've missed a few since I played FFX-2 which broke my soul in two it was so bad.  Storyline good, gameplay awful.  The only good thing was seeing Rikku and Yuna back for another game.  FFX was perhaphs my fave FF game.  Everyone says it was FFVII that was the best, but for me it really wasn't.  FFX was the first console game I ever played (my mum was kinda strict when it came to video games back then), and I love it with all my heart.

I was a bit hesitant going into it, after my experiences with FFXII - good game, but it didn't capture me like some of the others (I never played X-2).

Well... after standing outside in freezing temperatures for the midnight release, I've put in some fair hours into the game so far.  I've really enjoyed it so far, too.  The story's interesting, although it bounces around a lot (I'm sub-10 hours in), so I don't get to see it focus on favorite characters (not that I've picked one yet).

I really dig the battle system - it takes out a lot of the tedious nature, while still retaining an important strategic aspect.  It's pretty, too.

Whole game is pretty.  The cinematics are amazing.  I actually don't even see (m)any CG films with that quality of graphics.  As I was watching one of the gorgeous spaceships, I pondered a little over a 'Verse movie/series done via computers... but it would likely compromise the "gritty" feel of the 'Verse, by being computer generated.

I wish my school finals weren't next week.  They're really cutting into my play time.

For those of you holding out, if you're a FF fan, I'd recommend it so far.  It's pretty linear at the moment, and the lack of armor was a personal hurdle for me (weapons/accessories only)... but it's great.  I hear it becomes less linear further in, too.  I'm intent to get there.  Again, though, finals... and God of War III/Resonance of Fate, next week, so we'll have to see WHEN that happens.

It's so good that I've had to stop myself from playing it so I don't rush through it and ruin my own experience.
