I kind of did this in another thread ((oops)) so I’ll be a bit brief. I’m Corky and I’m a huge Firefly/Serenity fan from Sacramento, California. I discovered the show when the big damn movie came out by reading articles about this quirky little TV show that just wouldn’t stay put away. I borrowed the series from my local library and watched them repeatedly in the following weeks. When the movie came out on DVD I did the same and actually got a convert with it.

I appreciate all that you here have been doing for so long and am so happy to have found a place like The Signal.

Welcome all!

Corky, I have loads of family in the Sacramento area (I myself was born in Roseville).  Did you go to the CSTS screening they had there a couple years back?

@Anna Snyder: Roseville, eh? Well I won't hold it against you Wink Unfortunately I missed the CSTS screening, I think I'm a couple years behind the Signal. Where was it? I'm assuming stands for Can't Stop The Signal?

A part of me is sad because I feel like I missed out on a lot of camaraderie and fun endeavors with folks reagrding our common apprecitaion of the 'Verse; but then again...I'm here now...and there's plenty more people out there who I can help make aware of it. I can do my bit and have my fun that way.

CSTS is Can't Stop the Serenity, the yearly screening of the BDM to raise money for Equality Now.  Registration is open for this year's event (www.cantstoptheserenity.com).  Year 5!
